YouWHY

YouWHY shows Drew from YouPickGames, a Twitch show built around letting viewers choose what the channel played. The global fits the channel's wider naming style: by 2014, the same face appeared in YouPickGames subscriber emotes called youCreep and youSub, while the set also included commands such as youSad, youCat and youREKT.

The WHY turns that YouPickGames naming pattern into a direct questioning reaction. Twitch Plays Pokémon later gave YouWHY another role in Chatty Yellow, where the command mapped to Vicegrip.

Viewers type YouWHY in Twitch chat when a decision, claim or plan leaves chat asking why. Twitch Plays Pokémon fans can also use it as a Chatty Yellow callback to Vicegrip.
