VoteNay

VoteNay came from Twitch's coverage of the 2016 Republican and Democratic National Conventions. Twitch released five special global emotes for both broadcasts: RNCelephant, DNCbell, KappaVotes, VoteNay and VoteYea. The Republican convention could be gathered around through Host Mode, while the Democratic convention gave Twitch broadcasters permission to co-stream the event with their own commentary.

VoteNay is the negative half of the matched voting pair, shown as a red button marked `NAY`. `Nay` is the formal word for a negative vote; outside political coverage, the same red button reads as a direct no.

Viewers type VoteNay to vote no, reject a suggestion, answer a yes-or-no question negatively or take the negative side of a quick chat poll.
