VeladaShelao

VeladaShelao was a Twitch global emote for Chilean creator Shelao at La Velada del Año IV. Cristóbal Álvarez had a background unlike most of the card: before becoming a streamer he worked as a model, won Mister Chile in 2014 and had trained in boxing and mixed martial arts. His matchup with ViruZz also carried unfinished business from La Velada III, where ViruZz withdrew injured and replacement opponent Misho was hurt almost immediately in the substitute fight.

The original Shelao versus ViruZz pairing finally happened at the Santiago Bernabéu in 2024. Because both men had more combat experience than a typical creator-boxing matchup, it became the first La Velada fight contested without protective headgear. ViruZz dropped Shelao during the fight and won after a punishing contest, while Shelao kept trying to continue. VeladaShelao represented both the Chilean support and the long-delayed rematch storyline.

When this emote was active, viewers typed VeladaShelao in Twitch chat to use it. Viewers used VeladaShelao to support Shelao against ViruZz, react to the no-headgear fight, rally after knockdowns and follow the matchup that had been delayed from the previous year's event.
