TwitchCop

TwitchCop showed a cartoon police officer blowing a whistle, and viewers turned the character into Twitch chat's imaginary law enforcement. Rule-breaking and other transgressive moments prompted jokes that the Twitch Cops had been summoned or that a streamer was headed to Twitch jail. The same running joke became broad enough that some channels created their own police-themed emotes for mock infractions.

Twitch removed the Global in June 2020 and said it had acted proactively `to prevent misuse`. The removal happened during widespread protests over police brutality and racism after George Floyd's killing, but Twitch did not give a more specific official cause.

When this emote was active, viewers typed TwitchCop in Twitch chat to use it. Documented use treated the officer as chat's imaginary police, calling out rule breakers, joking about Twitch jail, and pretending that a streamer's behavior had summoned law enforcement.
