TwitchConHYPE

TwitchConHYPE is an animated ExtraEmily emote chosen by Twitch viewers during TwitchCon Las Vegas in October 2023. During the opening ceremony, chat voted among candidate emotes for the one that would become the official TwitchCon global, and ExtraEmily won.

The image comes from one of ExtraEmily's best-known IRL stunts. She climbed into a trash bin filled with mulch and spent nearly five hours buried inside it with only her head sticking out, producing the absurd smiling reaction that became TwitchConHYPE. The emote turned ExtraEmily's nearly five-hour mulch-bin stunt into a platform-wide TwitchCon reaction instead of using a generic convention logo.

Twitch originally presented the winning global as a one-year TwitchCon emote, and ExtraEmily published a goodbye to TwitchConHYPE in September 2024. The exact same identity is back in Twitch's current global emote set in 2026, so the emote now carries both its TwitchCon 2023 origin and a later return to global chat.
