TPcrunchyroll

TPcrunchyroll was introduced for TwitchPresents' Crunchyroll anime marathon, which began July 27, 2017 and ran through August 1. Twitch and Crunchyroll selected full-season programming from more than 19 anime series, and Twitch announced Crunchyroll-Hime as a new free global emote for the marathon.

Hime is Crunchyroll's official mascot. Eunice Dahae Baik created the original design for the Anime Industry-tans fan-art contest, where it won against more than 100 approved entries; artist Shiori Abe later helped refine the character. Crunchyroll describes Hime as a kitsune, a Japanese fox spirit.

Viewers type TPcrunchyroll for Crunchyroll, Crunchyroll-Hime, anime discussions, marathon viewing and watch-party reactions. It also works as a callback to TwitchPresents' long-form anime broadcasts.
