TombRaid

TombRaid combines Twitch Raids with Tomb Raider. Creators had already developed raids as a community practice before Twitch formalized `/raid` in November 2017. The command sends participating viewers from one broadcaster's channel to another, making `Raid` both a Twitch action and the second half of the franchise title.

The artwork places Lara Croft's red climbing axe above the word `RAID`. Official Tomb Raider franchise history calls the red axe `now-iconic`: in Tomb Raider (2013) Lara used it for climbing and combat, Rise of the Tomb Raider equipped her with twin axes, and Shadow of the Tomb Raider expanded the same traversal equipment into rappelling and overhang climbing. The axe belongs to the Survivor-era Lara introduced in the 2013 reboot, while the franchise itself began with Core Design's original Tomb Raider in 1996.

Twitch's own developer documentation uses TombRaid in the sample chat message `RAID TombRaid RAID twitchRaid RAID`. The example identifies TombRaid as a Global Emote fragment inside the same kind of raid message the artwork and command describe.

Viewers type TombRaid when their community raids another Twitch channel, especially in raid greetings and arrival messages. It also works for Tomb Raider, Lara Croft and Survivor-era climbing-axe references.
