TheTarFu

TheTarFu was already listed among TwitchTV emotes in July 2012, placing the command in the platform's early chat vocabulary. A public 2015 emote map assigns `TheTarFu` to an older technical identity, while the exact target here is a later Twitch generation using the same command.

Tarfu later described himself as coming from the Twitch community before joining the company. He spent eleven years at Twitch, starting in Trust & Safety, moving into customer experience, and building the fraud program used to stop abuse of creator revenue.
