TheRinger

TheRinger shows Kyle Vogt, one of the four founders of Justin.tv. Justin Kan later recalled that the founders argued over many details of their early chat system but agreed on one idea: their own faces should become chat emotes. JKanStyle represented Kan, StoneLightning represented Michael Seibel, OptimizePrime represented Emmett Shear and TheRinger represented Vogt.

Vogt joined the Justin.tv founding team only a few months after Kan, Seibel and Shear began building the project that would launch in 2007. Justin.tv later produced the gaming service that became Twitch, leaving TheRinger as one of the surviving faces from the platform's founder-era chat experiment.

Viewers type TheRinger for Kyle Vogt, Justin.tv and the founder-era Twitch emotes that placed the service's original builders directly into chat.
