TakeNRG entered Twitch's global emote set beside GivePLZ through the third annual Global Emote Vote at PAX West 2016. It uses the same orange, wide-eyed character but mirrors GivePLZ's pose so the character reaches toward the left.

"NRG" compresses "energy," and viewers immediately paired the two emotes around phrases such as "TAKE MY ENERGY." Preserved League of Legends chat from 2016 shows the pair being used to support Cloud9, with GivePLZ offering the energy from one side of the message and TakeNRG receiving it from the other.

Type TakeNRG in Twitch chat to use this emote. Viewers use TakeNRG to send encouragement or "energy" to a streamer, player or esports team, especially during difficult attempts or competitive matches, and to close paired GivePLZ and TakeNRG messages.
