Twitch Global Emote
SSSsss
CurrentThe Origin Story
SSSsss turns Minecraft's Creeper warning sound into a Twitch command. The image is the Creeper's pixelated green face, while the string of S and s letters writes out the hiss players hear when the mob is close enough to explode.
The Creeper itself came from a development mistake. Minecraft developer Jens Bergensten has explained that Notch mixed up dimensions while modelling a pig, producing a tall, strange creature that stared at the player; the team kept it as a monster and added the explosion idea. Minecraft's own creature guide describes the finished Creeper stopping near its target, hissing like a burning fuse and exploding a few moments later.
How to Use It
Viewers type SSSsss when a Creeper sneaks into view, begins hissing or is about to explode in Minecraft. The same face also works for sudden danger, impending explosions and disaster jokes built around the Creeper's fuse-like warning sound.
