SplashTail

SplashTail came from Sea of Thieves' December 2024 Support a Streamer campaign with Twitch. Artist Sayuta identified the Splashtail design as her work and said it had become a Twitch global for the promotion. During the same event, viewers supported participating Sea of Thieves creators by gifting subscriptions: two qualifying gifts earned Celestial Steed ship cosmetics, while three also earned the Obsidian Capstan.

The command is an in-game fishing reference. Splashtails are the most common fish in Sea of Thieves and can be caught across most open water without bait. The game has repeatedly treated the Ruby Splashtail as a fan-favorite mascot-like fish, giving it a ship collection, fishing rod and Splashtail Monarch costume years before the Twitch global appeared.

When this emote was active, viewers typed SplashTail in Twitch chat to use it. Viewers used it during Sea of Thieves streams, the Support a Streamer campaign, fishing sessions, Splashtail catches and small-fish reactions during pirate adventures.
