Twitch Global Emote
SpiritEel
RemovedThe Origin Story
SpiritEel was a temporary Twitch emote for the launch of Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree. Bandai Namco later described the Twitch emote in exactly that role, tying the small spectral creature directly to the expansion rather than to a broader Elden Ring promotion.
The temporary global then received an unusual official afterlife. On August 30, 2024, Bandai Namco released the same Spirit Eel artwork in 112, 56 and 28 pixel sizes so people could add it to their own Twitch chats after the launch promotion. The command stayed the creature's in-game name, while the publisher turned a short-lived global into a downloadable channel emote.
How to Use It
When this emote was active, viewers typed SpiritEel in Twitch chat to use it. Viewers used it during Shadow of the Erdtree streams, when Spirit Eels appeared, while exploring the Land of Shadow and for strange or spectral discoveries that matched the creature.
