SMOrc

SMOrc shows an Ork from the 2011 third-person shooter Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine. The command abbreviates Space Marine to "SM" and adds Orc, while the Warhammer franchise itself spells the species "Ork." The snarling green face was already appearing in Twitch chat by 2013.

The emote found a second identity through Blizzard's Hearthstone. Viewers used SMOrc for aggressive decks that ignored careful minion trades and attacked the opposing hero directly, a strategy known as "going face." The association became especially strong around Face Hunter, one of Hearthstone's best-known aggressive deck styles.

In 2015, DJ KARL THE DOG turned that joke into the fan-made SMOrc SONG - Face Never Trade. The parody reduced the strategy to the same deliberately simple rule that chat associated with the Ork: keep attacking the opponent instead of trading minions. The song and Hearthstone culture pushed SMOrc far beyond its original Warhammer image and made "face never trade" part of the emote's Twitch vocabulary.
