SmoocherZ

SmoocherZ is Twitch’s kiss-and-affection reaction. Its name comes from smooch, an informal word for a kiss, turning the face emote into a compact chat command for affectionate reactions.

By June 2016, Forsen chat was already using SmoocherZ inside a large copypasta built from Twitch globals, alongside BuddhaBar, KevinTurtle and TheIlluminati. SmoocherZ was therefore already part of Twitch’s mid-2010s global chat vocabulary.

Viewers type SmoocherZ in Twitch chat to use it. It fits a playful kiss, affection, cute teasing, joking flirtation, or exaggerated praise. Because the command literally points to a smooch, it also works when chat wants to send someone an over-the-top virtual kiss.
