SimsPlumbob appeared for The Sims’ 25th birthday and used the franchise’s green Plumbob, the diamond-shaped marker associated with the Sim the player is controlling. The anniversary included a 25-hour broadcast across Twitch, YouTube and TikTok featuring Sims creators, builders, storytellers and guests.

The Plumbob was also receiving special attention outside Twitch. EA worked with Pantone on an official “Plumbob Green” for the anniversary and described the green diamond as a long-standing symbol of personal expression and creativity, making it a franchise-wide choice rather than tying the emote to one particular Sim or game generation.

When this emote was active, viewers typed SimsPlumbob in Twitch chat to use it. Viewers used it during Sims gameplay, building and Create-a-Sim streams, or as a direct franchise callout whenever the Plumbob or a player-controlled Sim became the joke.
