Twitch Global Emote
PrimeMe
CurrentThe Origin Story
PrimeMe is a Twitch global built around Twitch Prime, the premium Twitch benefit package launched with Amazon Prime on September 30, 2016. Linking an Amazon Prime account to Twitch originally provided ad-free viewing, exclusive emotes and a chat badge, game loot and one free channel subscription every 30 days. The streamer still received payment when a viewer used that Prime subscription.
Twitch renamed Twitch Prime to Prime Gaming in August 2020, but the free monthly channel subscription continued under the new name. PrimeMe therefore preserves the older Twitch Prime branding even though viewers now encounter the benefit as Prime Gaming.
The emote also became part of esports copypasta. During the 2019 League of Legends Championship Series Spring Final between Team Liquid and TSM, viewers used PrimeMe repeatedly in the chant "COPY THIS GEM TO HELP TSM," turning the global into part of the rhythmic team-support spam common in tournament chat.
How to Use It
Type PrimeMe in Twitch chat to use this emote. Viewers use PrimeMe for Twitch Prime and Prime Gaming references, monthly Prime subscriptions, Amazon Prime jokes, subscription reminders and older esports copypasta such as the Team Liquid versus TSM chants.
