PraiseIt

PraiseIt shows the Helix Fossil from the original Twitch Plays Pokémon run. More than a million people sent chat commands to control one copy of Pokémon Red, and the chaos repeatedly opened the inventory and selected the otherwise useless Helix Fossil. Viewers turned those accidental selections into the joke that the player was consulting the fossil for guidance, then built a mock religion around `Lord Helix`.

The game later revived the fossil into Omanyte, giving the joke an in-game resurrection. For the first anniversary of Twitch Plays Pokémon in February 2015, Twitch made PraiseIt a Global Emote and announced it with the instruction to `Praise Helix Fossil`.

Viewers type PraiseIt for Twitch Plays Pokémon, Lord Helix, Helix Fossil, and Omanyte references, or when chat wants to treat an object or choice with the same exaggerated reverence as the original Helix religion.
