PowerUpL

PowerUpL is the left half of a matched Global pair created by artist iilucreative. Twitch released PowerUpL and PowerUpR after the two-emote design won a Global Emoticon Vote at Twitch Town Hall.

The `L` is functional: PowerUpL opens a purple-flame frame from the left, while PowerUpR closes it from the right. Viewers used the pair around other emotes and messages, including `PowerUpL LUL PowerUpR` during TwitchPresents' 2017 Yu-Gi-Oh! marathon and the `PowerUpL DarkMode PowerUpR` sequence that toggled Twitch's dark theme.

Viewers type PowerUpL before another emote or piece of text, then PowerUpR after it, to frame the middle item between the pair's purple flames.
