Twitch Global Emote
PoroSad
RemovedThe Origin Story
PoroSad was one of four Arcane global emotes released across Twitch for Riot Games' November 2021 premiere event, alongside PogBones, HeimKEK and CaitlynS. The image uses a sad Poro, the furry League of Legends creature whose command turns the character name into a literal sadness reaction.
Poros were created for the Howling Abyss as a warm, playful counterpoint to the map's cold atmosphere. Riot's development history says the design drew on mountain goats, reindeer and polar bears; RiotOtown modeled and textured the first Poro, while RiotCaptainLx helped give it the oversized tongue and puppy-like animation that became part of the creature's identity.
Riot announced PoroSad and the other Arcane chat emotes as globals from November 5 through November 21, after which they were supposed to become follower emotes on the RiotGames channel. The exact PoroSad global remained available years later and was removed on January 7, 2026.
How to Use It
When this emote was active, viewers typed PoroSad in Twitch chat to use it. It paired the familiar Poro mascot with sadness during League of Legends and Arcane streams, and its original Twitch context was the 2021 Arcane premiere and watch-party event.
