PipeHype

PipeHype is one of Twitch's early face globals, already present in global-emote lists by November 2013. Dota 2 viewers later gave the face a specific second identity by using it as a KuroKy lookalike reaction.

That association became especially visible around Team Liquid's 2019 roster drama. During the EPICENTER Major, a recurring phone-call copypasta cast KuroKy as calling MATUMBAMAN to say he regretted the roster move and wanted him back, with PipeHype repeatedly standing in for Kuro's face. The joke turned an old global into durable KuroKy shorthand.
