OSFrog

OSFrog began with Old Spice Nature Adventure, the 2015 Twitch promotion that let chat direct a real performer through a 72-hour outdoor adventure. The `OS` prefix points back to Old Spice, while the bright green frog gave the campaign a character that could survive long after the advertising event ended.

Dota 2 viewers supplied that afterlife by connecting the frog to IceFrog, the pseudonymous developer associated with Dota's design and balance. OSFrog became the reaction for heroes, items, patches, and mechanics that looked absurdly overpowered or supposedly "balanced." Twitch briefly removed the Old Spice promotional emotes in January 2016, then restored OSFrog the following day.

Viewers type OSFrog in Twitch chat for Dota 2 and IceFrog references, especially when a hero, item, patch, or mechanic looks unfairly strong, broken, or suspiciously "balanced."
