OneHand

OneHand was already part of Twitch's global vocabulary by November 2013. Dota 2 viewers later gave the smiling face a durable second identity as a reaction for player, caster, and streamer Ben "Merlini" Wu, using OneHand when he appeared on broadcasts or panels.

That made OneHand one of several old global faces that acquired player-specific meanings inside early Dota Twitch chat.

Some viewers also generalized OneHand into ethnicity-based stereotyping instead of keeping it as a Merlini or face reaction. That later misuse should not be treated as the meaning of the original portrait or as appropriate chat behavior.
