OhMyDog

OhMyDog is a close-up photograph of a hound with its mouth wide open. Designer Tommy Baldwin published the finished work in his portfolio on February 2, 2016 under the title OhMyDog Global Twitch Emote, giving the exact image a direct creator trail.

The open mouth made the photograph useful as a bark, yelp or exaggerated dog reaction. Kripparrian's community quickly built a more specific running joke around it. Preserved 2016 copypastas used OhMyDog as the voice of Kripparrian's dog Dex and announced that it was time to "bark at Kripp."

Dex is part of the chat history, not the identity of the hound in the photograph. The joke worked because Twitch viewers could use any open-mouthed dog face as a speaking or barking stand-in for Kripp's pet.
