MyAvatar

MyAvatar appeared in Twitch's global set on April 1, 2022, the same day Twitch opened five temporary April Fools categories: Pizza Time, Silent Reading, Character Creation, Chores, Odd Jobs, and Errands, and Literally Just Chatting. A same-day global-emote group also included MyAvatar, PizzaTime, Shush, LaundryBasket, and ModLove.

The command turns the portrait into a self-reference: `MyAvatar` reads as the face or character a viewer might choose for themselves. Later viewers pushed the image in a very different direction through identity-based stereotyping.

Some viewers repurposed MyAvatar for transphobic and homophobic stereotyping based on the portrait's styling. Those stereotypes were created by viewers and do not define the person in the image or Twitch's April Fools category joke.
