ModLove

ModLove shows a heart labeled "MOD" pierced by a green sword. Twitch introduced the global for Mod Appreciation Day on March 31, 2022 and credited emote artist DREAM_OW. Twitch explicitly told viewers to type ModLove when thanking the moderators who help creators run their communities.

The sword is not a random fantasy prop. Twitch moderators have long been represented by the green moderator sword badge in chat, and Twitch later described mods as the "heart and sword" of the platform, directly explaining why ModLove combines those two objects in one design.

The 2022 celebration also included Twitch's Mod Love Competition, which rewarded moderators nominated by their communities. Winners received trips to TwitchCon San Diego, while other selected moderators received gift cards, extending the emote's launch beyond a simple one-day graphic.
