MikeHogu

MikeHogu shows Heo Yong-wook, better known in Twitch Korea as Mike Huh. Before Twitch, Huh spent three years as an esports reporter at Inven. He then joined Twitch Korea as a Partnership Manager when the local operation had only four staff members, helping broadcasters with contracts, channel setup, chat, stream quality and other practical problems.

A November 2016 Inven interview opened by recognizing Huh's face as a Twitch emote. Huh said viewers had grown comfortable enough with him to call him `hogu` while joking together. In Korean, `호구` can mean a dupe or pushover, so MikeHogu turns `Mike Huh` into a Korean nickname pun that came from his relationship with early Twitch Korea viewers.

Viewers type MikeHogu for Mike Huh, early Twitch Korea history and jokes about someone being a `hogu`, meaning a dupe or pushover who is easy to take advantage of.
