MikeHogu shows Heo Yong-wook, better known in Twitch Korea as Mike Huh. Before Twitch he spent three years reporting on esports at Inven. He then joined Twitch Korea while the local operation was still very small and became Partnership Manager, helping streamers with contracts, channel setup, chat, quality settings, and other platform problems.

By G-Star 2016, Mike Huh's face had become recognizable enough in Korean Twitch chat to have its own global emote. The command changes Mike Huh into Mike Hogu. In Korean, `호구` (`hogu`) can describe a dupe or pushover, turning his English name into a Korean wordplay nickname.
