MechaSupes represented KAL, the Mecha Superman of Infinite Crisis, not Clark Kent in mechanical armor. Young Clark connected a crashed Kryptonian probe to his family's agricultural robot and accidentally created KAL. Clark tried to teach the machine about humanity through an imaginary game called Superman, in which the hero could right every wrong.

When Clark was killed by a drunk driver, KAL finally understood why humans dreamed about heroes and adopted the Superman name and mission in his friend's memory. Contemporary players shortened Mecha Superman to `MechaSupes`, matching the Twitch command.

When this emote was active, viewers typed MechaSupes in Twitch chat to use it. The command specifically referred to KAL, the robot who inherited Clark Kent's Superman mission in Infinite Crisis.
