MaxLOL is a laughing-man global whose strongest Twitch identity comes from the sarcastic phrase `Tough game? MaxLOL`. By 2021 the line was already being posted after Erobb suffered frustrating losses, and it soon spread into other communities including Forsen's chat.

The joke is mock sympathy: `Tough game?` sets up a streamer who has just lost, tilted, or been unlucky, and the laughing face supplies the punchline. That repeated setup turned MaxLOL into something more specific than a generic laugh emote.
