Lechonk

Lechonk brought Pokémon Scarlet and Violet’s black pig Pokémon into Twitch’s global emote set after the character had already become an internet favourite. Its name is generally read as a combination of Spanish lechón, meaning a suckling piglet, and chonk, internet slang for a round or heavy animal.

The food joke also matches the Pokémon itself. Lechonk spends its time searching for fragrant wild grasses and rich berries and is described as having developed an unusually refined sense of smell through its constant search for food. Twitch leaned directly into the Pokémon’s popularity by telling viewers they could simply type Lechonk in chat.

When this emote was active, viewers typed Lechonk in Twitch chat to use it. Viewers used it for Pokémon discussion, pig and food jokes, hunger reactions, or simply to show affection for the round Scarlet and Violet favourite.
