KonCha

KonCha shows Twitch-Tan, Twitch's anime-style mascot, smiling and waving. During Twitch's 2017 RWBY and Yu-Gi-Oh! marathons, Twitch told viewers they could `say KonCha` to use channel-exclusive versions of Twitch-Tan and described her as the girl featured in some Global Emotes.

`Koncha` comes from `こんちゃ`, a casual shortening of `こんにちは` (`konnichiwa`). The Japanese greeting matches Twitch-Tan's raised hand, so both the command and the pose function as a hello.

Viewers type KonCha to greet a streamer or chat, especially when Twitch-Tan, anime or Japanese-language context makes the waving greeting fit naturally.
