KonCha

KonCha shows Twitch-Tan, Twitch's anime-style mascot, smiling and waving. During Twitch's 2017 RWBY and Yu-Gi-Oh! marathons, Twitch used `KonCha` while introducing Twitch-Tan versions for anime viewers and described Twitch-Tan as the character featured in some of its global emotes.

The name comes from `こんちゃ` (`koncha`), a casual shortened form of `こんにちは` (`konnichiwa`). The Japanese greeting and Twitch-Tan's wave say the same thing: hello.

Viewers type KonCha in Twitch chat to greet a streamer or community, enter chat with a wave, or react during anime and Japanese-language conversations where Twitch-Tan fits the moment.
