KEKHeim

KEKHeim turned Heimerdinger into the laughing member of Riot’s 2021 Arcane global-emote set. Its code combines KEK, the gaming laugh strongly associated with World of Warcraft’s cross-faction language system, with Heim from Heimerdinger.

In World of Warcraft, an Alliance player seeing a Horde character type “lol” would historically receive the Orcish-looking translation “kek.” Pairing that old gaming laugh with the grinning Piltover inventor made KEKHeim a natural laughter and mockery reaction, while still being recognizably tied to Heimerdinger and Arcane.

When this emote was active, viewers typed KEKHeim in Twitch chat to use it. Viewers used it to laugh at jokes, ridiculous plays, mistakes and other situations where a Heimerdinger-flavoured KEK was more appropriate than a generic laughing emote.
