IntersexPride

IntersexPride places the yellow-and-purple intersex flag inside a heart formed by purple hands. Morgan Carpenter created the flag in 2013 with a golden-yellow field and an unbroken purple circle, deliberately avoiding the familiar pink-and-blue gender coding used by many other symbols.

The circle is the key to the design. Carpenter described it as unbroken and unornamented, representing wholeness, completeness, potential, bodily autonomy, and the right to be who and how intersex people want to be. The Twitch emote keeps that central circle visible while surrounding the flag with a direct heart-shaped support gesture.

Viewers type IntersexPride in Twitch chat to celebrate intersex people, mark Pride or intersex visibility, show solidarity during discussions of intersex rights, or send a supportive heart reaction.
