ImTyping

ImTyping shows a purple message bubble containing three white dots, the familiar interface cue that somebody is composing a message but has not sent it yet. The command converts that visual indicator into a first-person statement: "I'm typing."

Twitch added ImTyping on April 1, 2022 as part of a group of new globals that also included Shush, MyAvatar, PizzaTime and LaundryBasket. The three-dot design makes the emote especially suited to Twitch itself because chat is the product feature the image is imitating.

The exact identity is currently back in Twitch's global set. Its image and command do not need a character or campaign explanation because both describe the same everyday online conversation behavior.

Type ImTyping in Twitch chat to use this emote. Viewers use ImTyping when composing a long reply, signaling that an answer is coming, joking about someone taking time to respond, or reacting to a conversation serious enough that somebody is clearly typing out a response.
