Twitch Global Emote
HungryPaimon
RemovedThe Origin Story
HungryPaimon launched with the Paimon Extension built for Genshin Impact Version 2.0 in July 2021. The Twitch overlay placed Paimon beside selected Genshin streamers and gave viewers a Like button; the official event set a community target of 2,020,928 Likes, after which viewers could obtain a redemption code worth 60 Primogems.
The global gave that same campaign a chat reaction. Twitch's APAC campaign retrospective says HungryPaimon was created as a branded form of viewer expression, while participating streams used the emote alongside the Paimon overlay. The campaign recorded 10.9 million minutes watched, 436,000 unique in-game code redemptions and more than 600 million HungryPaimon uses.
The command also fits one of Paimon's oldest in-game jokes. Near the beginning of Genshin Impact, the Traveler can introduce the floating companion to Amber as `Emergency food`, prompting Paimon to object. Twitch removed HungryPaimon from the global set on January 7, 2026.
How to Use It
When this emote was active, viewers typed HungryPaimon in Twitch chat to use it. It worked for food and Paimon jokes in Genshin Impact streams, and during the 2021 extension campaign viewers filled participating chats with HungryPaimon while the community worked toward the Primogem reward.
