HungryPaimon turned one of Genshin Impact’s oldest running jokes into a Twitch global emote. Twitch introduced it with an “emergency food” reference, calling back to the recurring joke that the Traveler’s floating companion Paimon could be eaten as emergency rations.

Genshin itself repeatedly played along with the gag while having Paimon object that she was not emergency food. The emote showed Paimon eating, so HungryPaimon could work both as a literal food reaction and as a reference understood immediately by Genshin players.

When this emote was active, viewers typed HungryPaimon in Twitch chat to use it. Viewers used it when food or snacks appeared on stream, when someone mentioned being hungry, and whenever Genshin chat revived the emergency-food joke around Paimon.
