HeyGuys

HeyGuys shows Selen Akay, who worked at Twitch, smiling and waving. Akay submitted the image because Twitch did not have a general hello emote, and the command came from the "hey guys" greeting she regularly used herself.

The visual, name and purpose all say the same thing. Instead of relying on a meme meaning viewers had to learn later, HeyGuys was built as a literal greeting for entering a chat, saying hello and welcoming somebody who had just arrived.

Type HeyGuys in Twitch chat to use this emote. Viewers use HeyGuys when entering a stream, greeting the broadcaster and chat, welcoming a raid or guest, and saying hello when someone returns after being away.
