HassaanChop

HassaanChop is a Twitch staff-era face emote tied to software engineer Hassaan Markhiani, who worked at Twitch from 2013 to 2018 across Payments, Search and Discovery, Creator Experience, and other systems. One of his later Twitch projects was architecting the backend of raids, the feature that moves a live audience from one channel into another.

The command turns the double-a spelling of `Hassaan` into a play on "Hassan Chop," the cry associated with the character Hassan in Chuck Jones's 1957 Looney Tunes short Ali Baba Bunny. Twitch also carried a separate `HassanChop` command with one a, so the spelling is part of the identity: HassaanChop is the staff-face command, not the separate one-a emote.
