GunRun

GunRun represented Justin “TheGunrun” Ignacio, one of the early technical figures behind Justin.tv and Twitch and later a major figure in IRL-streaming hardware. Ignacio has said that Gunrun began as his Neopets username when he was 13; once he worked at Justin.tv, the nickname also prevented confusion with company founder Justin Kan.

The global emote originally used the code FunRun. In 2018, Ignacio announced that Twitch had replaced it with a higher-definition version and renamed it GunRun. He later founded VTuber agency VShojo, and Twitch removed the global emote in July 2025 during the week the agency shut down.

When this emote was active, viewers typed GunRun in Twitch chat to use it. Viewers primarily used it as a GunRun callout when Ignacio himself, old Twitch history, IRL-streaming technology or his later creator projects were being discussed.
