GTACamera

GTACamera was a Twitch global emote from the GTA RP Week promotion held from December 15 to 21, 2023. Rockstar Games and Twitch used the week to celebrate the Grand Theft Auto roleplay community after the Cfx.re team and the technology behind FiveM and RedM had officially joined Rockstar earlier that year. The promotion put RP streamers from around the world on Twitch's front page and distributed more than 600,000 GTA V subscription tokens.

The camera reference fits the way GTA roleplay became entertainment on Twitch. FiveM and similar servers let players improvise police work, crime, businesses, relationships and other stories inside GTA V, while viewers watch those scenes unfold like an unscripted show. GTACamera gave chat a reaction built around the feeling that an especially cinematic, suspicious or ridiculous RP moment had just been caught on camera.

When this emote was active, viewers typed GTACamera in Twitch chat to use it. Viewers used GTACamera for dramatic roleplay scenes, unexpected reveals, funny in-character moments, memorable clips and anything in GTA RP that felt especially worth catching on camera.
