GoldPLZ

GoldPLZ is an animated golden character with star-shaped eyes that launched for Twitch's Together for Good charity week in 2023. The event ran from November 28 through December 3 around Giving Tuesday and challenged streamers across Twitch to run charity broadcasts for nonprofit organizations of their choice.

Creators could use Twitch's built-in charity tool or Tiltify and add #TogetherForGood or #Charity for a chance to appear on the Twitch homepage. Twitch also featured charity streams supporting organizations including St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Movember, Games Done Quick, Cure Cancer's Game On Cancer and Trans Lifeline.

Twitch matched community donations to St. Jude up to $100,000 and opened the week with the Twitch Rivals OG Map Charity Showdown featuring Fortnite. Viewers who donated at least $5 through Twitch's charity tool during the event could also earn an exclusive chat badge.

The command's "PLZ" reads as "please," while the star-eyed gold character gives the request an eager, hopeful expression. That made GoldPLZ useful for charity appeals without tying the global to one specific nonprofit.
