Twitch Global Emote
GlitchLit
CurrentThe Origin Story
GlitchLit shows a flame-shaped orange face wearing black pixel sunglasses. The command makes `lit` work twice: the character is literally on fire, while `lit` is slang for something exciting or high-energy.
It belongs to the Glitch-themed family associated with GlitchCon 2020 alongside GlitchNRG, GlitchCat and StinkyGlitch. Twitch's own help material later used `Glitch emote Drops from GlitchCon 2020` as an example of event emotes, while the event itself was designed around online competition and live chat participation.
Unlike GlitchNRG, no exact creator statement was recovered for GlitchLit, so it does not inherit Ollybits' contest-win origin merely because the two emotes share the GlitchCon set.
How to Use It
Viewers type GlitchLit in Twitch chat for hype, exciting plays, fire or flame jokes, GlitchCon callbacks, and moments when chat wants to call something lit.
