GivePLZ entered Twitch's global emote set with TakeNRG through the third annual Global Emote Vote at PAX West 2016. Its orange, wide-eyed character reaches toward the right, and "PLZ" is the familiar shorthand for "please."

Chat quickly turned GivePLZ and TakeNRG into a matched pair. Preserved League of Legends chat from October 2016 shows viewers writing messages such as "C9 TAKE MY ENERGY" with GivePLZ and TakeNRG around the Cloud9 reference. The mirrored poses made encouragement look like something physically handed from one side of the message to the other.
