Getcamped

Getcamped was the exclusive global emote for Twitch's first CS:GO Week in Brazil, held from October 29 to November 4, 2022 in the run-up to the Rio Major. The week was built around all three sides of Counter-Strike on Twitch: stream the game, watch Brazilian creators and then play with the community.

Twitch partnered with GamersClub to run event servers that ranged from competitive 5v5 to community maps and beginner-friendly games. The name Getcamped came from one of Counter-Strike's most familiar frustrations. A player can hold a position or angle and wait for an opponent to walk into it, so getting "camped" is the sort of complaint that immediately makes sense in a tactical shooter. The command turned that old multiplayer grievance into the event's global chat joke.

When this emote was active, viewers typed Getcamped in Twitch chat to use it. Viewers used Getcamped during CS:GO Week and other Counter-Strike streams when someone was caught by a player holding an angle, walked into the same position again, or complained that an opponent would not move.
