FreakinStinkin

FreakinStinkin is an old Twitch face global with a grimacing expression and a light-and-dark cap. The original person in the photograph and the reason Twitch selected that image have not been reliably recovered, but the command was already present in a Twitch global-emote list by November 2013.

Years later, the face acquired a very specific second life in Taiwan's Hearthstone streaming scene. Viewers thought FreakinStinkin resembled Taiwanese Hearthstone streamer KYO, whose channel used the handle `kyo1984123`, and the emote became unofficial KYO shorthand. In 2018, a PTT discussion asking about KYO explicitly noted that a Twitch emote looked extremely similar to him, with replies naming FreakinStinkin. Other Taiwanese Hearthstone threads pair the emote directly with KYO jokes and catchphrases.

That is a resemblance meme, not an image identity. The person pictured in FreakinStinkin is not established as KYO.

Viewers type FreakinStinkin in Twitch chat for exaggerated stink or disgust reactions, and in Taiwanese Hearthstone culture it also became a KYO callback because viewers associated his appearance with the emote.
