FeverFighter

FeverFighter comes from a superhero Ethan Washburn drew while he was being treated for acute lymphoblastic leukemia at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Ethan was seven when he was diagnosed in 2010. During treatment that summer, he drew a red-and-orange caped character with flames coming from his head and named him Fever Fighter. A fever could mean an immediate return to the hospital while Ethan's immune system was weakened, so he imagined his superhero as impervious to it.

The drawing later became the mascot of St. Jude PLAY LIVE, the hospital's fundraising community for gamers and content creators, appearing in stream assets, merchandise and a dedicated graphics bundle. In 2025, St. Jude and creator platform Tongal began expanding Fever Fighter into an animated project inspired by Ethan's artwork, extending a treatment-time drawing into a much larger St. Jude character.
