>(

Twitch's >( emote is one of its old punctuation-based anger reactions. The current robot artwork squeezes its eyes shut and opens its mouth as if it is shouting. In older TwitchTV chat, the same shortcut inserted an angry robot, while Justin.tv used it for an angry monkey face.

Unlike the standard :( frown, >( is visibly agitated rather than quietly sad, giving Twitch a stronger anger/frustration reaction.

Viewers type >( in Twitch chat to use this emote. It fits frustration after a throw, an annoying game mechanic, a missed opportunity, mock outrage, or another moment where the open-mouthed angry face matches the reaction.
