Twitch Global Emote
EleGiggle
RemovedThe Origin Story
The original EleGiggle used a screen grab of Ellie winding up for a huge laugh at something absurd in a video. Ellie later explained that she submitted the image to Twitch simply as a “Haha!” or “LOL!” style emote. Its intended meaning was straightforward laughter.
The original global was removed on December 21, 2024. Ellie said Twitch did not want to renew the royalty-bearing agreement attached to that version and terminated the contract, which required removing the emote. Twitch later approached her about a replacement without royalties, and a new EleGiggle using an updated image of the same person appeared in June 2025. The two versions are therefore related by subject and command but are separate Twitch identities.
How to Use It
When this emote was active, viewers typed EleGiggle in Twitch chat to use it. Ellie described its intended meaning as straightforward laughter, so viewers used it for funny moments, absurd statements, failed plays, jokes, and situations where chat wanted a strong laughing reaction.
