DarthJarJar was a Twitch global emote from Fortnite’s Galactic Battle event, the Star Wars season that led into the Death Star Sabotage live event. The name turns Jar Jar Binks into “Darth Jar Jar,” a long-running Star Wars fan joke about Jar Jar secretly being connected to the dark side.

The emote also had a direct Twitch extension role. Fortnite’s Galactic Battle Twitch extension let connected viewers earn the Darth Jar Jar emoticon, and Epic described a chat mechanic where viewers could spam `:DarthJarJar:` to help defend against a channel takeover. That made DarthJarJar more than a normal reaction emote; it was part Star Wars joke, part Fortnite event reward, and part Twitch chat mechanic.
