Twitch Global Emote
CurseLit
CurrentThe Origin Story
CurseLit came from Twitch's 2016 integration with the Curse communication platform. Curse joined the Twitch family in August, and the September integration let people sync their Twitch account so Twitch emotes became available inside the Curse app.
Twitch added CurseLit as a new Global Emote to celebrate the integration. The artwork is a stylized flame: `Curse` names the service being integrated, while `Lit` works as both literal fire and the slang description of something exciting. A companion emote, TwitchLit, used a different reward path and was granted to people who downloaded Curse and synced their Twitch account.
How to Use It
Viewers type CurseLit when something is literally or figuratively `lit`, and for callbacks to Twitch's 2016 Curse integration. TwitchLit belongs to the same campaign but was an account-sync reward rather than the Global celebration emote.
