CorgiDerp is a close-up corgi with its mouth open in an exaggerated goofy expression. The command joins `corgi` with `derp`, internet slang for a deliberately silly-looking reaction, so the name describes the image directly rather than pointing to a game character or event.

The emote was already circulating as a Twitch global in 2015 and became one of the platform's most heavily used reactions. Twitch's 2022 recap counted 529,610,903 CorgiDerp uses, placing it third among that year's most-used global emotes behind HeyGuys and LUL.

Its recognition also escaped Twitch. The Geometry Dash Demon level Toxin Lab II hides the text `CorgiDerp` when the player dies at the opening obstacle, an Easter egg built around the Twitch command rather than a generic corgi joke.

Viewers type CorgiDerp in Twitch chat for corgi or pet appearances, goofy mistakes, confused reactions, and lighthearted moments where an open-mouthed dog face matches the mood.
